What is the Patent Box?
Begun in 2013, the Patent Box is a government scheme to encourage companies to commercialise their intellectual property in the UK.
By electing into the scheme, companies can reduce corporation tax to 10% on profits made from their patented properties.
Who can claim?
To qualify, your company must either own or hold an exclusive license in patents issued by the UK Intellectual Property Office or the European Patent Office.
